How It Works

Upload an image, enter the target width and/or height in pixels, and download the resized image. Aspect ratio lock prevents distortion.

**Understanding Image Resolution**

*Pixels per inch (PPI)* — Screen resolution. Web images: 72–96 PPI. Print: 300 PPI minimum.

*Total pixels* — Width × height. A 1920×1080 image has 2,073,600 pixels (about 2 megapixels).

*Upscaling* — Making images larger adds pixels by interpolation, reducing sharpness. For significant upscaling, use AI-based upscaling tools.

**Privacy**

All resizing is performed client-side using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your images are never sent to our servers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Downscaling (making smaller) preserves quality well. Upscaling (making larger) reduces sharpness because pixels are interpolated. Avoid upscaling beyond 150% of the original.
Yes. With aspect ratio locked, changing width automatically adjusts height proportionally (and vice versa).
You can download the resized image as PNG, JPEG, or WebP. JPEG is best for photos; PNG for graphics with transparency; WebP for the best compression.
Batch resize is not supported in the current version. Process images one at a time.
